  1. Thread cantrail cables through pockets in outer cover and engage in frame locations.
  2. Bond outer cover to ’B’ post brackets, ensuring that even tension is applied as bond is made.
  3. Position ’B’ post seal retainers.
  4. Transfer holes in retainers through outer cover into brackets.
  5. Secure retainers with pop rivets.
  6. Fit ’B’ post seals. See this section.
  7. Apply adhesive to outer cover flaps and mating surfaces of 1st and 2nd hood bows.

CAUTION: Ensure that underside of outer cover does not become contaminated with adhesive.

  1. Check cosmetic appearance of hood.
  2. Adjust cantrail cables. See this section.
  3. Remove protection.
  4. Secure hood catches.
  5. Close windows.

HOOD FRAME

Service repair no - 76.61.12

Remove

  1. Remove outer cover. See this section.
  2. Remove backlight. See this section.
  3. Tilt both seat squabs forward.
Hood frame – Tilt both seat squabs forward.
  1. Remove 3 screws securing bulkhead finisher, collect press studs.
  2. Release 6 clips and position bulkhead finisher aside.
  3. Remove 4 bolts securing hood frame to body.
  4. Collect hard top strikers.
  5. With assistance, remove hood frame.
  6. Remove cantrail seals. See this section.
  7. Bend up tabs securing cantrail tensioning cables to header rail.
  8. Remove tensioning cables.
