AIRBAG CONTROL AND DIAGNOSTIC UNIT - ’D’ SERIES

Service repair no - 76.73.68

CAUTION: See safety precautions before commencement of repair.

Remove

  1. Remove key from starter switch, disconnect both battery leads, earth lead first, and wait 10 minutes for the SRS back-up power circuit to discharge before commencing work.

  1. Remove screw and remove access panel from steering wheel hub.
  2. Disconnect airbag module multiplug
  3. Remove RED safety connector from access panel and fit to drivers airbag module multiplug.
  4. Remove glove box. See BODY, Interior trim components.

  1. Disconnect multiplug from passenger airbag module.
  2. Remove RED safety connector from storage clip and fit to passenger airbag module multiplug.

  1. Remove 2 bolts and remove drivers foot rest.
