DOWNSHIFT CABLE

Service repair no - 44.15.01

Remove

  1. Raise front of vehicle.

WARNING: Support on safety stands.

Downshift cable – Raise front of vehicle.
  1. Release downshift cable from gearbox.
  2. Loosen nut securing cable to gearbox bracket and release cable from bracket.
  3. Release cable from clip on coolant hose.
  4. Loosen downshift cable adjustment locknut and release cable from bracket.
  5. Release cable from throttle cam and remove cable.

Refit

  1. Position cable and connect to throttle cam.
  2. Connect cable to gearbox cam, secure to bracket and tighten nut.
  3. Secure cable to coolant hose clip.
  4. Remove stand(s) and lower vehicle.
  5. Adjust downshift cable. See Adjustments.
