Lock-up control solenoid

Refit

1. Fit mounting bracket to cable, position cable to vehicle and tighten mounting bracket bolts to 9 Nm.

NOTE: Ensure cable has engaged with adjuster on selector lever.

2. Connect selector cable to gearbox, fit new lock washer and tighten bolt to 14 Nm. Secure lock washer.
3. Fit selector cable cover, fit and tighten bolts to 22 Nm.
4. Fit and tighten cable support bracket bolt to 12 Nm.
5. Remove stand(s) and lower vehicle.
6. Adjust selector cable. See Adjustments.
7. Fit front console. See BODY, Interior trim components.
8. Connect battery leads, negative lead last.

LOCK-UP CONTROL SOLENOID

Service repair no - 44.15.35

Remove

1. Clean solenoid and surrounding area.

2. Disconnect engine harness multiplug from solenoid.
3. Disconnect solenoid multiplug from bracket.
4. Remove 3 bolts securing solenoid and remove multiplug bracket.
5. Remove solenoid assembly and gasket.

Refit

1. Clean solenoid and mating face on gearbox case. Ensure oil passages are clear.
2. Fit solenoid with a new gasket.
3. Fit multiplug bracket and tighten bolts to 12 Nm.
4. Fit solenoid multiplug to bracket and connect engine harness.
