Removing and installing bracket
Removing and installing bracket
Removing:
–  Removing the dash panel → Body Work; Rep. gr.70.
–  Removing the steering column → Chapter.
  Note
The surrounding components are not shown to simplify the illustrations.
   
–  Remove frequency link -1- from the bracket -3-.
–  Remove screw -2-.

–  Release screws -3-.
–  Unscrew screws -2- and remove bracket -1-.
4 - Central pipe
Installing:
  Note
t  Screws -2- and -3- are identical and are tightened to the same torque.
t  When installing the bracket -1- observe the mounting sequence of the screws -2- and -3-.
–  Position the bearing bracket -1- at the central pipe -4-.
–  Screw in screws -2- and initially tighten to 5 Nm (do not fully tighten the screws yet).
–  Insert and tighten screws -3-.
–  Tighten the screws -2- to the specified tightening torque.
Further installation occurs in reverse order.

Bracket to central pipe23 Nm
Frequency link to bracket23 Nm
