Removing and installing the door entry lighting in the outer mirror
Removing and installing the door entry lighting in the outer mirror
Removing
–  Switch off all electrical components and take out the ignition key.
Vehicles up to MY 06
–  Removing the top mirror housing cover → Body Work; Rep. Gr.66.
   
–  Disconnect plug connection -1-.
–  Remove the mirror holder -2- with door entry lighting.
Vehicles as of MY 07
  S94-0151
–  Carefully detach the catch pegs -arrows- for the upper cover -1- of the rearview mirror housing -4- and remove upwards.
–  Release the catch pegs -2- and take off the mirror cover -3-.

–  Unclip rearview mirror from the support -1-.
–  Release screws -2- (1 Nm) and unhook the lower rearview mirror housing cover -8- to the bottom.
–  Unclip door entry lighting -6- from the bottom cover.
–  Disconnect the plug connection.
Installation - all vehicles
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
  Note
t  When installing, make sure that all catch pegs lock in place correctly.
t  Perform a functional test.
