Control Unit Programming Until now, the engine control unit or an EPROM had to replaced for alterations to the engine control unit software. Using the flash technology, it is possible to transfer the new software to the engine control unit using TECH 1. The dealership receives the control unit software on the TECH 15 CD-ROM. Again, control unit programming is largely performed by means of menus. The exact procedure is described in a separate publication. |
