Removing

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the sound insulation cover (1b).

Refitting

- Place the soundproofing cover back in its housing and secure it using the bolts.

1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the sound insulation cover (1b).

Refitting

- Place the soundproofing cover back in its housing and secure it using the bolts.

1.4 16v TJet

Removing

1. Loosen bands (1a) and disconnect air turbocharging by-pass flexible pipes (1b) from the integrated pipe on sound-proofed cover.

2. Undo bolts (2a), open retaining clips (2b) and remove sound-proofed cover (2c) with integrated air turbocharging by-pass pipe.

Refitting

- Refit the sound-proofed cover with integrated air turbocharging by-pass pipe in its housing and tighten the bolts.

- Connect the air turbocharging by-pass flexible pipes to the integrated pipe on the sound-proofed cover and tighten the bands.

- Close the air turbocharging by-pass pipe retaining clips, turbocharger intake side.
