Diagram showing the positioning of tools 1860859002, 1860860000 and 1860859000 supporting the power unit from underneath.
  1. Position tool 1860860000 supporting the power unit on the hydraulic jack and fix it to the power unit at the points shown in the insets using tools 1860859000 and adaptor 1860859002.

The hydraulic jack should have a capacity of at least 1000 kg and a height suitable to allow the subsequent removal downwards of the power unit; with this in mind it is necessary to take into consideration the maximum height which can be reached by the lift and the minimum height which can be reached by the hydraulic jack.

  1. Remove the bolts fixing the power unit side supports to the bodyshell.
  2. Lower the hydraulic jack and extract the power unit from the lower part of the vehicle.

Lower the hydraulic jack gradually and check that the power unit is correctly positioned and balanced on the appropriate supporting tool.

  1. Place the power unit on the stand using a hydraulic crane.

Do not move the power unit fitted on the hydraulic jack. To move the power unit use a hydraulic crane fitted with tool 1860592000 after having previously released it from the supporting tool.

Inset diagrams showing the attachment points for the power unit side supports and the direction of bolt removal.
