Diagram of tool 1860874000 used for camshaft timing adjustment, showing shaft seat (1) and key (2).
3-4. Position tools 1860874000 for camshaft timing adjustment. Align shaft seat (1) with key (2) on the tools. Fit key into the seat and fasten tool to the cylinder head by the covers removed previously. Repeat the operation for both intake and exhaust end camshafts.

If the tools do not fit perfectly and camshafts require rotation, align pistons so that none are set to t.d.c. in order to prevent valves sticking.

Diagram showing reference seat (3) and cap (4) on the cylinder head extension for shaft timing tools.

Shaft timing tools 1860874000 differ only in the reference seat (3) marked on the lower corner. This should be aligned with the cap (4) located on the cylinder head extension.
