0PRELIMINARY CHECKSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the volume knob on the Connect is correctly adjustedMove on to Step 1Volume knob turned completely in an anti-clockwise directionAdjust the volume correctly
1ELECTRICAL CHECKSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check that the speaker connections are correctly connected.

If the customer complains of no or poor audio quality, check:

  • That the microphone for the hands-free function is working properly
  • Check that there are no microphone vibrations
  • Check the operation of the GSM aerial
Move on to Step 21.Speaker connections broken1.Restore continuity
2.Microphone not correctly installed2.Install the microphone correctly
3.GSM aerial defective.

3.Replace the GSM aerial

2CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check that the controls on the steering wheel for adjusting the volume which can increase/decrease the audio volume are working properly see wiring diagram

See E3510 RADIO

If necessary, disconnect the controls on the steering wheel from the Connect and check that the fault disappears

Move on to Step 3Audio volume controls on the sterring wheel defectiveReplace the controls on the steering wheel
