Fuel filler pipe union sleeve - r + r

Operation 1040A32 · FUEL TANK AND COMPONENTS

1.2 8v, 1.4 8v

Removing

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the vehicle.

Op. 7055B43 REAR WHEEL ARCH LINER (ONE) LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

1. Unscrew the retaining bolts.

2. Remove the pipe protection bracket.

1. Open the band and disconnect the flexible section of the filler pipe from the tank.

2. Open the band and disconnect the flexible section of the filler pipe from the rigid section.

3. Open the plastic band (3a) and remove the flexible section of the fuel filler pipe (3b).

Refitting

Position the flexible section of the fuel filler pipe.

Connect the flexible section of the fuel filler pipe to the tank and to the rigid section.

Fit the pipe protection bracket and tighten the fixing bolts.

Lower the vehicle.

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

Connect the battery negative terminal.

1.9 DIESEL

Removing

Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

Place the car on a ramp.

Raise the vehicle.

1. Unscrew the retaining bolts

2. Remove the pipe protection bracket

1. Open the band and disconnect the flexible section of the filler pipe from the tank.

2. Open the band and disconnect the flexible section of the filler pipe from the rigid section.

3. Open the plastic band (3a) and remove the flexible section of the fuel filler pipe (3b).

Refitting

Position the flexible section of the fuel filler pipe.

Connect the flexible section of the fuel filler pipe to the tank and to the rigid section.

Fit the pipe protection bracket and tighten the fixing bolts.

Lower the vehicle.

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

Connect the battery negative terminal.

1.3 JTD 16V, 1.9 JTD 8V

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with the removal

(Right side).

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the protective bracket (1b).

1. Loosen the bands (1a) and (1b), open the band (1c) and remove the hose joining the fuel filler pipe to the tank (1d).

Refitting

Place the hose joining the fuel filler pipe to the tank back in its housing and fasten it using the bands.

Refit the protective bracket in its seating and secure it with its bolts.

Proceed with the refitting

Remove the car from the ramps.
