Removing

Op. 7055B43 REAR WHEEL ARCH LINER (ONE) LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

Op. 1040A10 FUEL TANK - R + R AND DECANT FUEL

1. Disconnect the rear section of the single supply pipe from the pump.

2. Using the tool (2a), undo the ring nut (2b) and remove the fuel pump (2c).

1. Disconnect the pipes connecting the vapour separator to the float valves from the rapid connectors.

2. Open collars (2a) and disconnect fuel filler pipe (2b) and reflux pipe (1c) from the tank.

3. Remove the complete fuel filler pipe.

1. Undo and remove the two float valves, complete with pipes.

Refitting

Fit the two float valves complete with pipes.

Fit the complete fuel filler.

Connect the fuel filler pipe and the reflux pipe, securing them to the tank using new bands.

Connect the pipes connecting the vapour separator to the float valves to the rapid connectors.

1. Disconnect the rear section of the single supply pipe from the pump.

Fit the fuel pump and tighten the ring nut.

Replace the gasket under the fuel pump and take care when refitting to check that the gasket is correctly positioned ensuring the seal.

Tighten the ring nut to torque using the special tool.

Connect the rear section of the single supply pipe to the pump.

Removing

Removing

Op. 1040A10 FUEL TANK - R + R AND DECANT FUEL

1. Disconnect the rear section supply and return pipes from the pump.

2. Using the tool (2a), undo the ring nut (2b) and remove the fuel pump (2c).

1. Open the bands (1a) and disconnect the fuel filler pipe (1b) and the reflux pipe (1c).

2. Remove the complete fuel filler pipe.

Refitting

Fit the complete fuel filler.

Connect the fuel filler pipe and the reflux pipe, securing them to the tank using new bands.

Fit the fuel pump and tighten the ring nut.

Replace the gasket under the fuel pump and take care when refitting to check that the gasket is correctly positioned ensuring the seal.

Tighten the ring nut to torque using the special tool.

Connect the rear sectin outlet and inlet hoses to the level gauge.

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Ensure that the ignition key is in the stop position, then disconnect the battery negative terminal.

Proceed with the removal

(Right side).

Proceed with the removal

Op. 1040A10 FUEL TANK - R + R AND DECANT FUEL.

1. Disconnect the fuel supply and return pipes from the pump.

2. Using the tool (2a), undo the ring nut (2b) and remove the fuel pump (2c).

1. Loosen the bands (1a) and disconnect the fuel filler pipe (1b) and reflux pipe (1c) from the fuel tank.

2. Remove the complete fuel filler pipe.

Refitting

Refit in its seating the complete fuel filler pipe, connect it and secure it with the bands to the fuel tank.

Place the fuel pump in its seating and secure it with the ring nut, using the tool for tightening the latter.

Replace the gasket under the fuel pump and make sure that the gasket is positioned correctly ensuring a seal.

Connect the fuel supply and return pipes to the pump.

Proceed with the refitting

Op. 1040A10 FUEL TANK - R + R AND DECANT FUEL.

Proceed with the refitting

Op. 7055B43 REAR WHEEL ARCH LINER (ONE) LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

(Right side).

Connect the battery terminal (-).

Remove the car from the ramp.

Op. 1040A71 SUBMERGED PUMP ASSEMBLY COMPLETE WITH FUEL GUAGE - R R WITH TANK REMOVED

1. Unscrew and remove the two float valves.

Refitting

Position and screw the two float valves on the tank.
