Operation 1076A40 · EXHAUST PIPE FASTENINGS AND PROTECTIONS

2.0 16V

Removing

- Position a hydraulic device for supporting the exhaust pipe.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) fixing the mounting brackets and move the exhaust pipe (1b) aside, as necessary.

2. Undo the fixing bolts (2a) and remove the heat shields (2b).

Refitting

- Place the heat shields in position and tighten the fixing bolts.

Op. 1076A48 CATALYTIC CONVERTER HEAT SHIELD - R R

- Tighten the bolts fixing the exhaust pipe mounting brackets.

- Operation not available.

2.8 JTD 8V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on the lift.

1. Undo the fixing bolts.

2. Remove the exhaust pipe heat shield.

Refitting

- Place the heat shield in position.

- Tighten the fixing bolts.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.0 JTD 8V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the heat shield (1b) for the exhaust pipe.

Refitting

- Place the heat shield in its housing and secure it using the fixing bolts.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
