Operation 1040A32 · FUEL TANK AND COMPONENTS

2.0 16V

Removing

1. Undo the lower bolt fixing the filler pipe to the bodyshell.

2. Act on the retaining bands (2a) and release and remove the fuel filler pipe hose (2b).

Refitting

- Connect the hose joining the filler pipe to the tank to the tank and to the filler pipe.

- Restore the fastenings removed previously.

- Tighten the lower bolts fixing the filler pipe to the bodyshell.

2.3 JTD 16V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Raise the lift.

1. Undo the lower bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

2. Disconnect the hose joining the filler pipe to the tank from the tank and from the filler pipe, then remove it.

Refitting

- Connect the hose joining the filler pipe to the tank to the tank and to the filler pipe, then remove it.

- Tighten the lower bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER-ENGINE GUARD - R R

- Lower the lift.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.0 JTD 8V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Raise the lift.

1. Undo the lower bolts fixing the filler pipe to the bodyshell.

2. Disconnect the hose joining the filler pipe to the tank from the tank and from the filler pipe, then remove it.

Refitting

- Connect the hose joining the filler pipe to the tank to the tank and to the filler pipe, then remove it.

- Tighten the lower bolts fixing the filler pipe to the bodyshell.

- Lower the lift.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.8 JTD 8V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on the lift.

- Raise the lift.

2. Disconnect the hose joining the filler pipe to the tank from the tank and from the filler pipe, then remove it.

Refitting

- Tighten the lower bolts fixing the filler pipe to the bodyshell.
