Removing

Op. 2410A18 TRANSMISSION WITH JOINTS INCLUDED - R.R.

Op. 2410A51 VISCOUS JOINT (ASSEMBLY) - R.R.

1. Undo the fixing bolts (1a) and remove the viscous coupling flange (1b).

1. Withdraw the viscous coupling from its seat and remove.

- Removal of the above parts should be treated as a destructive operation.

1. Remove bearing (1a) and its oil seal (1b) from the viscous coupling mount.

- Work on the viscous coupling flange removed previously.

1. Remove the retaining spring.

2. Separate flange (2a) from cover (2b), recovering dust sealing ring (2c).

- Removal of the above parts should be treated as a destructive operation.

- Work from the side of the cover with the smaller circumference.

1. Remove the oil sealing ring.

2. Remove bearing (2a) from cover (2b).

- Removal of the above parts should be treated as a destructive operation.

- Work from the side of the cover with the larger circumference.

1. Remove the oil sealing ring.

2. Remove bearing (2a) from cover (2b).

Refitting

1. Position the viscous coupling mount (1a) on the press working surface, fit the new bearing (1b) in its seat using an appropriate fitting tool (1c).

1. Fit the new oil ring (1a) in its seat on the viscous coupling using an appropriate fitting tool (1b).

- Work on the viscous coupling flange cover.

- Work from the side of the cover with the larger circumference.

1. Position the viscous coupling flange cover (1a) on the press working surface, fit the new bearing (1b) in its seat using an appropriate fitting tool (1c).

1. Fit the new oil ring (1b) in its seat on the viscous coupling flange cover (1a) using an appropriate fitting tool (1c).

- Work from the side of the cover with the smaller circumference.

1. Position the viscous coupling flange cover (1a) on the press working surface, fit the new bearing (1b) in its seat using an appropriate fitting tool (1c).

1. Fit the new oil ring (1b) in its seat on the viscous coupling flange cover (1a) using an appropriate fitting tool (1c).

1. Fit the oil sealing ring (1a) on flange (1b) and press-fit the flange in the cover (1c).

- Fit the retaining clip in its seat on the flange.

1. Fit the viscous coupling in its seat on the mount.

1. Fit the flange with cover (1a) in its seat on the viscous coupling mount and tighten the bolts (1b).
