1.9 Multijet

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 1048A23 COLD AIR INTAKE FOR AIR FILTER - R.R

1. Undo the oil dipstick tube retaining bolt.

2. Undo the upper bolts fixing the exhaust manifold heat shield.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and the bolt (1b) and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (1c).

Refitting

- Place the exhaust manifold heat shield back in its housing and secure it using the nuts and bolts.

- Tighten the oil dipstick tube retaining bolt.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.2 8v, 1.4 8v

Removing

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the upper Lambda sensor.

2. Unscrew the fastenings and remove the heat shield.

Refitting

- Place the heat shield back in its housing and tighten it it using the fastenings.

- Connect the electrical connection for the upper Lambda sensor.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.

Removing

Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (1b) complete with engine lifting bracket (1c).

Refitting

- Refit the exhaust manifold heat shield with the engine lift bracket and secure with the nuts.

Removing

Op. 1048A23 COLD AIR INTAKE FOR AIR FILTER - R.R

1. Disconnect the vacuum pipe from the turbocharger vane control actuator.

2. Disconnect the glow plug electrical connections.

3. Unscrew the bolts, nut and remove the engine oil filter cover guard.

1. Unscrew nut (1a), bolt (1b) and remove the heat shield (1c) together with the engine lift bracket.

Refitting

- Refit the heat shield bulkhead with the engine lift bracket and secure with the nut and bolt.

- Refit the engine oil filter cover guard in its seat and secure with the bolts and nut.

- Connect the glow plug electrical connections.

- Connect the vacuum pipe to the turbocharger vane control actuator.

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Undo the upper nuts fixing the heat shield to the exhaust manifold.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the exhaust manifold heat shield (1b).

Refitting

- Place the exhaust manifold heat shield back in its housing and secure it using the nuts.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
