BRAKE PEDAL OSCILLATION

The vehicle vibrates and the pedal oscillates during braking

Results of the tests
1OSCILLATION CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation

Press the brake pedal gently with the vehicle moving.

With the vehicle moving and the brake pedal released, partly activate the handbrake

Move on to Step 2

1. The oscillation is only present at the brake pedal

2. The oscillation is noticeable at both the brake pedal and the handbrake lever

1. Replace the front brake discs

Op. 3310A48 FRONT BRAKE DISC (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R

2. Replace the rear brake discs

Op. 3310B48 REAR BRAKE DISC (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

2OSCILLATION PERSISTANCE CHECKAll OKProblems encounteredOperation
Carry out the tests described in the previous step having replaced the brake discsMove on to Step 3

1. The vibration only persists at the brake pedal

2. The vibration persists at both the brake pedal and the handbrake lever

1. Replace the front hubs

Op. 4450C28 FRONT WHEEL HUB,LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R WITH WHEEL REMOVED, CHECK WHEEL GEOMETRY SEPARATELY

2. Replace the rear hubs

Op. 4450D10 HUB FOR ONE REAR WHEEL, L/H OR R/H - R+R WITH WHEEL REMOVED - CHECK WHEEL GEOMETRY SEPARATELY

3CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONAll OKProblems encounteredOperation

Test the vehicle before returning it to the customer, checking that the problem no longer exists

The test is essential becaues the braking system is one of the vehicle''s safety systems
