ANTI-SLIP FUNCTION NOT WORKING - ASR

The front wheels slip with sudden acceleration, even with the ASR warning light flashing in the panel

1	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
		Results of the tests
	Connect the Examiner Plus or Smart diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connector: - that there are no faults in the ABS control unit; - the plausibility of all the parameters	Move on to Step 2	1. Presence of errors in the control unit. 2. No communication with the control unit	1. Proceed as instructed by the diagnostic tester 2. Restore the connection between the ABS control unit and the diagnostic connector See E7020 ABS
2	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Keep the diagnostic equipment connected carry out the active diagnosis of: - pump motor; - solenoid valves	Move on to Step 3	Pump and/or solenoid valves faulty	Replace the ABS electronic control unit electrohydraulic unit Op. 3340A12 ABS HYDRAULIC AND ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT - R.R.
3	CHECK FRONT PAD TYPE AND SURFACE	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check: - condition of pad braking surfaces; - type of pads	Move on to Step 4	1. Brake surfaces vitrified or with traces of oil or grease 2. Front pads damaged or not the correct type	1. Clean again and remove the causes of the fault 2. Replace the front pads Op. 3310A60 FRONT BRAKE PADS - REPLACE
4	CHECK FRONT DISCS	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the condition of the front brake discs	Move on to Step 5	Front discs worn or damaged	Replace the front discs Op. 3310A48 FRONT BRAKE DISC (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R
5	FRONT BRAKE CALIPER CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the sliding of the front brake caliper control pistons	Move on to Step 6	Front caliper pistons seized	Replace the front brake calipers Op. 3310A30 FRONT BRAKE CALIPER (ONE) - R.R
6	CHECK ON PIPES / HOSES AND BLEED BRAKES	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Visually inspect that there are no bends or constrictions in the brake pipes, bleed the system and check that the fluid comes out evenly from the bleed screws	End of diagnosis	Bends or constrictions present, the fluid does not come out evenly	Replace the section of pipe affected by the problem
