Removing

Proceed with removal - 1040A70 submerged pump assembly complete with level guage control - r + r

Proceed with removal - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r

Proceed with removal - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r

Proceed with removal - 1040A10 fuel tank - r + r and decant fuel

1.3 JTD 16v

Removing

Proceed with removal - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r

Proceed with removal - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r

Proceed with removal - 1040A10 fuel tank - r + r and decant fuel

1. Undo the right nut (1a) fixing the immersed pump assembly complete with gauge using the tool (1b).

2. Remove the immersed pump assembly complete with gauge.

Remove the O-ring.

Refitting

Proceed with refitting - 1040A10 fuel tank - r + r and decant fuel.

Proceed with refitting - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r.

Proceed with refitting - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r.

Proceed with the refitting - 3380A04 handbrake - check travel

Proceed with refitting - 1040A70 submerged pump assembly complete with level guage control - r + r.

1.3 JTD 16v

Refitting

Refit the o-ring in its seat on the fuel tank collar and ensure it is correctly positioned.

1. Place the submerged pump assembly complete with gauge back in its housing.

Fit the submerged pump assembly complete with gauge so that the arrow stamped on the cover is in line with the one on the tank.

2. Undo the ring nut (1a) securing the submerged pump assembly complete with gauge using tool (2b).

Proceed with refitting - 1040A10 fuel tank - r + r and decant fuel.

Proceed with refitting - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r.

Proceed with refitting - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r.

Proceed with refitting - 3380A04 handbrake - check travel.
