- lower the hydraulic column jack and withdraw the automatic transmission-differential unit from the engine bay,

- withdraw the electromagnetic clutch from its housing,

During this manoeuvre, take care to ensure that the oil pump drive shaft (1) stays in its housing on the transmission. If the shaft comes out, it must be positioned in place on the transmission to protect from damage.

NOTE To refit the automatic transmission-differential unit, reverse removal instructions.
