Finish refitting the timing belt by carrying out the following operations: - using a suitable spacer, fit Poly-V pulley retaining bolt provisionally to crankshaft; - remove flywheel retaining tool 1867030000 and crankshaft reference tool 1860863000; - loosen tensioner mount bracket pin retaining nut (arrowed) and bracket retaining bolt (arrowed) so that belt is put under tension by the tensioner rod; - remove the three bolts retaining the timing pulley and injection pump; - turn the crankshaft through two turns clockwise.

NOTE Never reverse engine rotation direction.

Check timing setting by repositioning: 1. crankshaft reference tool 1860863000 in its seat on the flywheel; 2. screw M8x1.25x35 in camshaft; 3. two bolts M8x1.25x35 in the injection pump pulley.
