Refitting

1. Loosen the timing system mobile tightener nut.
2. Move the mobile tightener.
3. Take out the timing system belt.

Refitting

The toothed belt is to be replaced after each removal.

The toothed belt is to be fitted with the arrows pointing in the direction of the engine rotation.

• Assemble the timing system toothed belt on the pulleys and the mobile tightener.

1. Join tool(1a) to tool (1b) with the screw

2. Set the tool on the timing system mobile tightener(2a)and tighten the screw of the joint(2b).

Note: The upper part of the tool is to be horizontal.

3. Position the weight, without the knurled part, on the millimetre rod at a distance of 80 mm and lock it.
4. Settle the belt with two turns of the crankshaft in its direction of rotation.

Note: If the millimetre rod should move during this operation, unscrew the tool joint and bring it to horizontal position, then repeat the operation.

4. Tighten the mobile tightener nut to the correct torque

Before mounting the timing system guards, check the alignment of the toothed drive pulley and toothed driven pulley phase references.

• Assemble the timing system lower guard.
• Assemble the air conditioner compressor belt onto the crankshaft pulley.
• Assemble the crankshaft pulley and fasten it with the screws to correct torque

• Reposition the air conditioner compressor belt tightener.
• Tension the air conditioner compressor belt and tighten the tightener screw to correct torque
