⚠ To replace brushes only, brake them with a hammer or vice and soft-weld the coil terminals in the spare brushes.

1. Remove the armature and stator coils from the front support.

1. Remove the rotor (1a) and the pignon engaging fork (1b).

1. Position the rotor-pignon with free wheel in a padded vice. Release and lower the safety ring.

1. Remove the rotor shaft retaining ring.
