A01 Alarm does not work

When operating the alarm by means of the remote control:

the LED does not flash,

the doors do not lock/unlock,

the lights do not flash,

the siren does not sound.

NOTE: acoustic signals and direction indicator flashing may or may not be activated, according to the legislation in force in the specific countries (see DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION: 5580E)

IMPORTANT: The alarm can only be turned on when the ignition key is turned to STOP, or PARK or when the ignition key has been removed.

Preliminarily check:
– remote control battery charge
– whether the remote control is enabled

Step Validity Operation to be performed Test results
OK
1 CHECK WITH THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL
Connect the diagnostic tool (Examiner or other tool) to the diagnostic socket.
Check in sequence:
– no errors in the alarm ECU
– all parameters are plausible		 All OK
Go to Step 2		 Problems found Intervention
No dialogue between the diagnostic tool and the ECU or receiver Restore connection between ECU and diagnostic socket (Wiring diagram E7015 “ALARM”)
Detected error in ECU or receiver Continue as shown by the diagnostic tool.
2 TEST ECU OPERATION
You can test the system by checking the operation of the alarm LED when the system is turned on and off: (see DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION: 5580E). Alternatively, you can test the system manually (see DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION: 5580E)		 All OK
Go to Step 3		 Detected an error in the ECU Restore faulty components
3 CHECK CORRECT OPERATION
Check the fault has been repaired		 All OK
End of test		 Fault persists Replace the alarm ECU OP. PROCEDURE 5580E46 or the receiver OP. PROCEDURE 5580E30
