Key Lock Request (CDL Locking)
When the vehicle key is inserted in the drivers door lock and turned towards the rear of the vehicle, an earth path is completed from the barrel switch in the drivers door lock motor (C441-1) on a black and pink wire to the CCU (C428-19). The completed earth path is used as a signal for the CC to supply a feed (C430-4) to the drivers door lock motor (C441-4) on a pink wire. This supplies power to the CDL motor and CDL locks the drivers door. The earth path from the motor (C441-7) is via a header joint to the CCU (C430-7) on an orange wire.
Simultaneously, the CCU supplies a second feed (C430-9) to header joint (C286-17) on a pink wire. The feed supplies power to the CDL motors and CDL locks the doors. The feed is connected from the header joint as follows:
- (C286-19) to front passenger door CDL lock motor (C441-4) on a pink wire.
- (5 door models only) (C286-18) to rear LH passenger door CDL lock motor (C422-4) on a pink wire.
- (5 door models only) (C286-20) to rear RH passenger door CDL lock motor (C422-4) on a pink wire.
The earth path from each motor is as follows:
- front passenger door lock motor (C441-7) to header joint (C289-19) on an orange wire
- (5 door models only) rear LH passenger door lock motor (C422-7) to header joint (C289-20) on an orange wire
- (5 door models only) rear RH passenger door lock motor (C422-7) to header joint (C289-17) on an orange wire.
From the header joint (C289), the earth path is connected to the CCU (C430-7) by an orange wire.
