Key Lock Request (Superlocking)
If the vehicle key is turned towards the rear of the vehicle a second time (within one second of the first turn), the CCU interprets this second completion of the earth path from the barrel switch in the front RH door lock motor (C441-1) to the CCU (C428-19) as a signal to initiate the superlock facility.
The CCU (C430-3) supplies a feed on a brown and pink wire to header joint (C288-1). The feed supplies power to the door superlock motors and superlocks the doors. The feed is connected from the header joint as follows:
- (C288-2) to drivers door superlock motor (C441-8) on a brown and pink wire.
- (C288-4) to front passenger door superlock motor (C441-8) on a brown and pink wire.
- (5 door models only) (C288-5) to rear RH passenger door superlock motor (C442-8) on a brown and pink wire.
- (5 door models only) (C288-2) to rear LH passenger door superlock motor (C442-8) on a brown and pink wire.
The earth path from each motor is as follows:
- drivers door superlock motor (C441-7) to header joint (C289-18) on an orange wire
- front passenger door superlock motor (C441-7) to header joint (C289-19) on an orange wire
- (5 Door Vehicles Only) rear LH passenger door superlock motor (C422-7) to header joint (C289-20) on an orange wire
- (5 Door Vehicles Only) rear RH passenger door superlock motor (C422-7) to header joint (C289-17) on an orange wire.
From the header joint (C289), the earth path is connected to the CCU (C430-7) by an orange wire.
