Pressure relief
- Metering orifice
- Damping orifice
- Pressure relief valve
When pressure below the metering orifice builds up, the relief valve in the flow control valve opens to relieve pressure. As the flow control valve is pushed back by the pressure difference this time, the flow of fluid in the by-pass passage increases, controlling the pressure below the metering orifice. The damping orifice helps to prevent relief valve vibration.
