Steering pump
A - Fluid intake B - Fluid movement C - Fluid discharge
The belt driven pulley rotates the rotor which is mounted on the drive shaft. As the rotor rotates, the vanes are pushed into the rotor or are extended by the cam ring contours.
The vanes are fully compressed and are extended as they pass the inlet port and fluid is drawn into the vane chamber. As the vanes pass towards the inlet port the vanes are compressed and the fluid is pressurised. As the vane chamber passes the discharge port the fluid is discharged under pressure.
