Omega B
General Instructions
When emergency braking with ABS regulation, the wheels are prevented from locking until the vehicle is almost at a standstill (approx. 5 km / h), which ensures that steering ability and thus maneouvrability are guaranteed.
Braking in the regulation range is indicated to the driver by a pulsing of the brake pedal together with noise from the return pump, which signal that the driver should adapt his speed to the actual road conditions.
If there is a defect in the ABS, the ABS telltale illuminates. The conventional brake system remains fully functional unless it also contains a fault.
The cause of a fault in the ABS can only be road out using TECH 1 in conjunction with program module "Opel / Vauxhall" and localized using Multimeter MKM - 587 - A; see section 4.1.8.1 or 4.1.8.2, "Trouble Code Table".
The vehicle should be checked and repaired in the nearest authorized Opel /Vauxhall workshop.
