HOOD COMPARTMENT LID

REMOVAL / REFITTING

• With the hood open, open the hood compartment lid (for emergency opening see corresponding paragraph.
• Disconnect the battery.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection.
2. Slacken the nuts and withdraw the third stop light.
3. Disconnect the electrical connection.
4. Slacken the three nuts fastening the lid to each screw.
5. Remove the hood lid.

Refit the hood lid reversing the sequence followed for removal. Adjust the position of the hood lid.

ADJUSTMENT

• With the hood closed, check alignment of the hood lid with the body and with the hood closing pins.

1. If necessary, slacken the three screws fastening the lid to each hinge and adjust the position longitudinally.

1. If necessary, slacken the two screws and adjust the position of the lock strikers for longitudinal and cross-wise adjustment.
2. If necessary, reduce or increase the thicknesses, for vertical adjustment.

• Re-tighten all the components involved in adjustment.
