REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

Operation 1076B20 · EXHAUST PIPES AND SILENCERS

1.8, 2.2, 2.4 JTD 20v

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Loosen the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the front exhaust silencer.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer (2a) after releasing it from the flexible supports (2b) and the front exhaust silencer.

Refitting

- Place the rear exhaust silencer in its housing and secure to the flexible supports.

- Tighten the collar securing the rear exhaust silencer to the front exhaust silencer.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.9 JTD 8v, 1.9 JTD 16v

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 1076B12 EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY R R

1. Working at the bench, loosen collar (1a) and remove the rear exhaust silencer (1b).

Refitting

- Place the rear exhaust silencer in its housing and secure with the collars.

Op. 7055B54 UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD - R.R.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
