NUMBER PLATE LIGHT NOT WORKING

The number plate lights do not work when the stalk switch wheel is turned with the key ON

1	INDIVIDUAL LIGHT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the condition of the bulbs and associated bulb holder;	Move on to Step	1. Front light cluster fault	1. Repair or change the tail-light Op. 5540A44 L/H OR R/H TAIL LIGHT (ONE) - R+R
		Move on to Step	2. Number plate light fault	Repair or change the number plate lights Op. 5540A94 L/H OR R/H NUMBER PLATE LIGHT (ONE) - R+R
2	NUMBER PLATE LIGHT ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the following, in order: side light fuses; connections between battery, engine bay control unit, ignition switch, stalk unit and underfacia junction unit; connections between underfacia junction unit and bulbs; bulb earth	Move on to Step	1. Component defective	1. Replace defective component (in the case of a fuse, find out what caused it to blow).
