Operation 1820B20 · HYDRAULIC CLUTCH SYSTEM

1.2 8v, 1.4 8v, 1.3 Multijet, 1.9 Multijet

Removing

Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R

Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R

- Connect a suitable container to the clutch actuator bleed valve and drain all the brake-clutch fluid.

- Disconnect the clutch system feed pipe from the brake-clutch fluid reservoir.

1.3 Multijet and 1.9 Multijet versions

1. Lift up the spring (1a) and disconnect vibration damper (1b) from clutch pump (1c).

1.2 8v and 1.4 8v versions

1. Lift up the clip (1a) and disconnect pipe (1b) from clutch pump (1c).

1. Press the clutch pedal.

2. Press the edges of retaining device (2a) with tool (2b) and then release the rod of the clutch master cylinder (2c) with the retaining device from the pedal.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the clutch pump (1b).

Refitting

- Position the power assisted steering pump in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the master cylinder pushrod to the locking device.

- Connect the clutch pedal to the locking device by means of the clips.

1.2 8v and 1.4 8v versions

- Connect the pipe to the clutch pump and secure it using the clip.

1.3 Multijet and 1.9 Multijet versions

- Connect the vibration damper to the clutch pump and secure it using the clip.

- Disconnect the clutch system feed pipe from the brake-clutch fluid reservoir.
