LINE CONNECTING AIR CONDITIONER TO CONDENSER
To replace line (A) that connects compressor (1) to condenser (4), after draining air conditioning system carry out the following operations:
- unscrew the screw that holds the cylindrical shank of the fitting on one end of pipe (A) inside compressor output duct (located on top at rear).
Note that for versions with diesel engines, to gain access to the above screw first disconnect oil lines connected to coolant radiator from mount of engine with filter; - unscrew screw (2) that fastens fitting (3) at the other end of pipe (A) to the front of condenser (4) (near inlet duct);
- remove pipe (A) from vehicle by releasing from support clips (5).
If the above two parts are not connected immediately with a new pipe seal condenser inlet and outlet ducts using watertight plugs in order to eliminate moisture.
NOTE In case of (O - Ring) replacement use only green rings that are resistent to R134 A coolant
LINE CONNECTING CONDENSER TO DEHYDRATING FILTER
To replace pipe (B) that connects dehydrating filter (10) to condenser (4) after draining air conditioning system, simply unscrew screws (6 for condenser) that fasten end fittings to the two parts above and then unscrew the nut screwd to the stud (indicated by arrow) of bracket (8) that fastens it to bracket (9) supporting and retaining dehydrating filter (10).
If the two parts above are not reconnected with a new pipe seal free filter and condenser ducts using watertight plugs.
