Recovery

When the engine cuts out, if the temperature of the coolant is above a certain level (105°C) (depending on the version), the control unit controls the post-ventilation function.

Post-ventilation takes place at low speed and lasts a maximum of 6 minutes from when the engine cuts out.

NOTE When the engine cuts out, if the battery voltage is below 10.5 V, post-ventilation is excluded.

RECOVERY

Injection control unit functions if the coolant temperature sensor is faulty:

• controlling the operation of the fan at high speed
• controlling the flashing of the coolant temperature pre-alarm warning light in the instrument panel (depending on the version)
• excluding the operation of the air conditioning compressor (AC/OUT).

FAULT DISPLAY: RECOVERY

Fault display

The appearance of certain faults in the injection system causes the engine diagnostic warning light to come on.

The engine diagnostic warning light comes on if component charging faults are present or in the presence of the following information:

• advance actuator
• advance adjustment
• control unit fault
• heater plugs diagnostic information

Exclusion of the climate control system compressor

If a fault is detected in the charging of the fan relay coils, the injection control unit cuts off the supply for the climate control system compressor clutch.
