ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT
The system is made up of the following components:
A - An electronic control unit with the function of managing the fuel system, the moment of ignition, the idle speed, the recovery, the autodiagnostics and also allowing dialogue with the F/L Tester.
B - A series of sensors which inform the control unit of the engine operating conditions:
- Rpm and TDC sensor fitted on the crankshaft front cover facing the 60-2 teeth of the flywheel integrated with the crankshaft pulley.
- Coolant temperature sensor fitted on the thermostat casing.
- Intake air temperature sensor (N.T.C.) fitted on the injector holder turret.
- Accelerator butterfly position sensor fitted on the butterfly casing.
- Lambda sensor fitted on the exhaust manifold upstream of the catalytic silencer.
- Micro-switch for recognizing the butterfly valve closed position (during idling) incorporated in the engine idle speed motor.
C - A series of actuators which allow the control unit to manage the operation of the engine:
- Injector fitted on the butterfly casing.
- Direct current motor for controlling the idle speed.
- Electric fuel pump.
- Ignition coil with four outlets.
- Charcoal filter solenoid valve.
D - Devices signalling problems, checks and diagnosis:
- Warning light, signalling system failure, in instrument panel.
