AIR INTAKE CIRCUIT

The air intake circuit is made up of various components which direct the necessary flow of air to the engine in the different operating conditions:

  • air filter,
  • butterfly casing,
  • direct current motor, for controlling the engine idle speed,
  • inlet manifold.

AIR FILTER

The air filter is the thermostatic type.
The switch to the hot or cold air position takes place by means of a thermostatic valve (5) operated by the vacuum, in turn intercepted by a thermal valve (6).
The valve (5) is activated by the engine vacuum until the thermal valve (6) detects a low temperature for the intake air.
