Float valve
This valve, fitted on the tank, carries out the following functions:
- it prevents liquid fuel escaping from the tank in all conditions,
- it allows the vapours to flow towards the separator,
- it allows the ventilation of the tank if there is a vacuum.
Fuel vapour separator
The fuel vapours coming from the tank reach the vapour separator (2), located inside the left rear wheel arch, via the pipe (1). Part of the vapours condense and return to the tank via the same pipe (1), whilst the remaining vapours escape through the duct (3) and are directed to the charcoal filter.
Overturn valve
This valve, fitted on the fuel vapour separator, carries out the following functions:
- it prevents the liquid fuel, which may have escaped from the tank, from flowing towards the charcoal filter, in the case of an accident where the vehicle has overturned.
- it allows the breathing of the fuel vapours towards the charcoal filter,
- it allows the ventilation of the tank if there is a vacuum.
Active charcoal filter
It is made up of granules of charcoal which retain the fuel vapours entering through the pick up (2).
The warm air which enters through the pick up (1), comes into contact with the charcoal granules which remove the petrol vapours and direct them to the outlet (3) and from there towards the cut out valve.
The air, entering through the pick up (1), can also be conveyed by the vacuum in the tank ensuring its ventilation.

- Vapour intake (from the tank)
- Vapour outlet (to the manifold)
