Adjusting accelerator cable tension

Tension of accelerator cable (3) is adjusted by removing split pin (1) from housing, adjusting position of splined bushing (2) and fitting split pin in its new position.

Cable should not be taut but slightly loose.

Replace fuel filter

Before carrying out this operation, empty filter case by adjusting bleed screw (1) and fitting a suitable pipe into the spout to prevent fuel dripping onto the clutch.

• remove filter cover (2) by unscrewing the four retaining screws;
• remove filter (3) and thoroughly clean housing bottom.

Draining water

The filter case is fitted with a water indicator. If the relevant dashboard warning light comes on, open bleed screw (1) and drain liquid out until fuel emerging is free of water.

Insert a suitable pipe into the spout to prevent fuel dripping onto the clutch.

Bleeding

Fill circuit by closing screw (1) and working manual pump (5) (see detail).
