- working from the wheel arch compartment, unscrew bolt connecting rod to timing end power unit mount and remove bracket;

- unscrew clip retaining bolt and move wiring and lines away from and toward the power steering fluid reservoir;

- unscrew bolt (1) and nut (2) retaining upper front guard and remove guard; - unscrew the two bolts (3) retaining rear upper guard and remove guard;

NOTE Rear bolt (arrowed) is accessible from the wheel arch.
