1. turn the crankshaft by adjusting the pulley retaining botl until crankshaft reference tool 1860863000 can be fitted into its housing on the flywheel;
2. fit a M8x1.25x35 screw through reference hole in the timing pulley and hand-tighten into the threaded hole on the head;
3. fit an M8x1.25x35 bolt through each of the two reference holes in the injection pump pulley and hand-tighten into the threaded holes on the engine block;

- raise the lift and unscrew the three bolts retaining the flywheel guard. Remove guard;
