Refitting

(Op. 1040A22 continued)

• Disconnect the fuel delivery hose from the fuel pump.
• Loosen the screws securing the fuel pump to the fuel tank.
• Remove the ring-nut.

Note: To facilitate removing the fuel pump, apply leverage on the edge with a screwdriver.

1. Remove the fuel pump (1a) with the gasket (1b) and the fuel level gauge command(1c).

1. Rotate the two valves on the fuel tank clockwise and remove them.

1. Disconnect the hose from the fuel tank and remove them complete with valves.
2. Disconnect the fuel delivery hose and remove it.

Refitting

• Connect the fuel delivery hose.
• Connect the pipes to the fuel tank complete with valves.
• Install the two valves located on the fuel tank and turn them clockwise.
• Install the fuel pump with the gasket and fuel level gauge control.
• Install the ring-nut.
• Tighten the nuts securing the fuel pump to the fuel tank.
• Connect the fuel delivery hose to the fuel pump.
• Complete with Op. 1076B20 Rear exhaust SILENCER - R.R.
• Complete with Op. 1040A20 FUEL TANK - R+R and decanting of fuel for versions with evaporation control system.
• Lower the vehicle.
• Complete with Op. 4450B11 Rear WHEEL (one) - R.R.
• Complete with Op. 7050A22 Rear seat CUSHION - R.R.
• Connect the negative (-) battery terminal

• Close the engine compartment.
• Remove the vehicle from the hoist.
• Fill the fuel tank with the specified fuel.

Removal

• Position the vehicle on a hoist.
• Open the engine compartment.
