(Op. 1040A20 continued)

1. Lower the jack and remove the fuel tank complete with fuel delivery hose and valve with pipes and electric pump.

Refitting

• Using a hydraulic jack, install the fuel tank complete with fuel delivery hose and valves with pipes and electric pump.
• Insert the over-flow pipe.
• Tighten the screw and the nut securing the front bracket of the fuel tank to the body with correct torque

• Tighten the screws securing the fuel tank to the body to correct torque

• Remove the hydraulic jack.
• Connect the fuel inlet hose to the fuel tank.
• Install the right-hand end of the hand brake cable on the rear right-hand handbrake drum control.
• Reposition the fuel filter.
• Tighten the screws securing the fuel filter to the bracket on the tank.
• Connect the active charcoal filter hose to the fuel vapour recovery reservoir.
• Connect the hoses of the fuel tank valves to the fuel vapour recovery reservoir.
• Connect the fuel delivery hose from the tank to the filter.
• Complete with Op. 1076B20 Rear exhaust SILENCER - R.R.
• Lower the vehicle.
• Complete with Op. 4450B11 Rear WHEEL (one) - R.R.
• Insert the fuel return hose.
• Connect the electrical connection to the electric fuel pump and level gauge

• Install the fuel pump access cover and secure it with the screws.
• Complete with Op. 7050A22 Rear seat CUSHION - R.R.
• Connect the (-) negative terminal of the battery

• Close the engine compartment.
• Remove the vehicle from the hoist.
• Fill the fuel tank with the specified fuel.

1040A22 - FUEL TANK - R.R. FOR VERSION WITH EVAPORATION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR REPLACEMENT

Removal

• Position the vehicle on a hoist.
• Open the engine compartment.
• Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

• Suck up the fuel from the tank using a suitable tool.
• Carry out Op. 7050A22 CUSHION of rear seat - R.R.
• Remove the rear right wheel (see Op. 4450B11 WHEEL (one) rear - R+R).
• Raise the vehicle.
• Follow Op. 1076B20 Rear exhaust SILENCER - R.R.
• Follow Op. 1040A20 FUEL TANK - R+R and decanting of fuel for versions with evaporation control system.
