1040A20 - FUEL TANK - R.R. AND DECANTING OF FUEL FOR VERSIONS WITH EVAPORATION CONTROL SYSTEM

Removal

• Position the vehicle on a hoist.
• Open the engine compartment.
• Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

• Suck up the fuel from the tank using a suitable tool.
• Carry out Op. 7050A22 CUSHION of rear seat - R.R.

1. Unscrew the nuts (1a) of the cover giving access to the fuel pump unit (1b) and remove .

1. Disconnect the electric fuel pump and level gauge electrical connections

2. Withdraw the return pipe from the snap-link.

• Remove the rear right wheel (see Op. 4450B11 WHEEL (one) rear - R+R).
• Raise the vehicle.
• Carry out Op. 1076B20 Rear exhaust SILENCER - R.R.

1. Disconnect the fuel delivery hose between the tank and filter from the snap-link.
2. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel tank valve to the fuel vapour recovery reservoir from the snap-link.
3. Disconnect the active charcoal filter hose from the fuel vapour recovery reservoir.
4. Loosen screws (4a) securing the fuel filter (4b) to the bracket on the tank (4c).
