  • Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  • Suck up the fuel from the tank using a suitable tool.
  • Remove the rear right wheel (see Op. 4450B11 WHEEL (one) rear - R+R).
  • Raise the vehicle.
  • Remove the rear right supplementary wheel housing (see Op. 7055B42 SUPPLEMENTARY WHEEL HOUSING (one) - R+R).
  1. Disconnect the fuel filler pipe from the tank.

  1. Loosen screws (1a) and pull off the rubber parts (1b) inside the seating of the fuel cap flap.

  • Move the fuel filler pipe and the fuel vapour reservoir.
  1. Disconnect the charcoal filter hoses (1a) and the anti-capsizing valve (1b).

  1. Disconnect the over-flow pipe from the fuel filter pipe.

  • Loosen screws securing the fuel vapour reservoir to the fuel filler pipe.
  • Separate the fuel vapour reservoir from the fuel filler pipe.
  • Remove the fuel filler pipe.

Refitting

  • Install the fuel vapour reservoir on the fuel filler pipe and tighten the retaining screws.
  • Connect the over-flow pipe to the fuel filler pipe.
  • Connect the pipes of the active charcoal filter and the anti-capsizing valves.
