  1. Remove the clips from the unions between the rear brake force distributor rigid pipes and the intermediate hoses.
  2. Keeping the end of the intermediate hoses blocked with the wrench (2a) slacken the rigid-pipes using the tool (2b)

  1. Slacken the centre screws (1a) of the rigid rear axle (1b) which also fasten the fuel tank (1c).

  1. Set a hydraulic jack at the centre of the rigid rear axle.

  1. Slacken the side fastening screws of the rigid rear axle.

  • Lower the hydraulic jack with the rigid rear axle and remove it.
  • Remove the rebound pads from the rigid rear axle (refer to Op. 4420W10 Rear suspension RE-BOUND PAD - Repl. with spring removed).
  • Remove the intermediate hoses of the rear brakes from the rigid rear axle.

Refitting

Before refitting the rear suspension axle check that there are no cracks, distortions or mis-alignment between the two side arms. Otherwise, change it.
