5050C10 - REAR WINDOW WASHER JET - R.R. CLEANING AND/OR POSITIONING

Removal

• Take off the rear window washer jet from the tailgate.
• Disconnect the rear window washer system pipe from the jet.

Refitting

• Check that the jet is not damaged or clogged.
• Connect the rear window washer system pipe to the jet.
• Fit the rear window washer jet in the tailgate.
• Position the rear window washer jet.

Note: The rear window washer jet is to be positioned so that the liquid hits the glass in the highest point of the surface cleaned by the wiper blade.

5050C20 - REAR WINDOW WASHER PUMP - R.R.

Removal

• Position the vehicle on a shop jack.
• Open the engine compartment.
• Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

• Remove the washer reservoir plug and empty the reservoir with a syringe (see Op. 5050A14 Reservoir PLUG (in engine compartment) or screen washer liquid level sensor - Check and top-up if necessary).
• Raise the vehicle.
• Remove the front right wheel (see Op. 4450B10 front WHEEL (one) - R+R).
• Remove the front right supplementary wheel housing (see Op. 7055B42 SUPPLEMENTARY WHEEL HOUSING (one) - R+R).

1. Disconnect the rear window pump motor electrical connection

2. Take out the rear window washer system pipe from the pump.
3. Turn the rear window washer pump (3a)clockwise and take it out from the reservoir with the filter (3b) and gasket (3c).

Refitting

• Assemble the rear window washer pump with its filter and gasket onto the reservoir and lock it by turning anti-clockwise.
• Insert the rear window washer system pipe onto the pump.
• Connect the rear window washer pump motor electrical connection

• Assemble the front right supplementary wheel housing (see Op. 7055B42 SUPPLEMENTARY WHEEL HOUSING (one) - R+R).
• Assemble the front right wheel (see Op. 4450B10 front WHEEL (one) - R+R).
• Lower the vehicle.
• Fill the reservoir with the prescribed liquid and refit the plug (see Op. 5050A14 Reservoir PLUG (in engine compartment) or washer liquid level sensor - Check and top-up if necessary).
• Connect the negative (-) battery terminal

• Close the engine compartment.
• Remove the vehicle from the shop jack.
