Refitting

  • Complete with Op. 5050B46 Reduction GEAR - R.R. with motor removed.
  • Complete with Op. 5050B42 Front windscreen wiper MOTOR - R.R.
  • Complete with Op. 5050B50 Front windscreen wiper motor INTERMITTENT FUNCTION - R.R.with motor removed.
  • Complete with Op. 5050B38 FRONT WIND-SCREEN WIPER unit - R.R. or repair.

  1. Complete with Op. 1048A10 COMPLETE AIR CLEANER - R+R.
  2. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal

  • Remove the body protection cover.
  • Close the engine compartment.
  • Assemble the wiper arms with the blades (see Op. 5050B32 Front windscreen WIPER ARM/S - R.R.).
  • Check that the windscreen wiper operates correctly.

5050B42 - FRONT WINDSCREEN WIPER MOTOR - R.R.

Removal

  • Remove the wiper arms with the blades (see Op. 5050B32 Front windscreen WIPER ARM/S - R.R.).
  • Open the engine compartment.
  • Assemble the body protection covers.
  • Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  1. Carry out Op. 1048A10 COMPLETE AIR CLEANER - R.R.
  2. Carry out Op. 5050B38 FRONT WINDSCREEN WIPER unit - R.R. or repair.
    1. Mark the position of the lever (1a) that controls the wiper mechanism and unscrew screw (1b) that fastens the wiper mechanism shaft.
    2. Unscrew the wiper mechanism fastening screws and remove it.
    3. Remove the starter motor protection .
  3. Carry out Op. 5050B50 Front windscreen wiper motor INTERMITTENT FUNCTION - R.R. with motor removed.

Refitting

  • Check that the wiper motor is not damaged and if necessary test its electrical functioning.
  • Complete with Op. 5050B50Front windscreen wiper motor INTERMITTENT FUNCTION - R.R. with motor removed.
  • Connect the wiper motor temporarily to the electrical connection and reset it through the front windscreen wiper control.
  • Assemble the protection on the starter motor.
  • Assemble the wiper mechanism and fasten with the screws.
  • Fit the wiper mechanism lever in the position marked at disassembly and tighten the wiper mechanism shaft screw .
  • Complete with Op. 5050B38 FRONT WIND-SCREEN WIPER unit - R.R. or repair.
  1. Complete with Op. 1048A10 COMPLETE AIR CLEANER - R+R.
  2. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal

  • Check that the wiper operates correctly.
