ADDITIONAL HEATER IS NOT ACTIVATED BY THE TIMER

The additional heater is programmed by the Connect, however the heater does not come on at the time set.

during programming the Connect informs the driver of the correct enabling of the timer;

in this way the heater on signal is sent by the Connect to the additional heater control unit via the climate control node.

STEPOPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUTTEST RESULTS

Check that the battery is properly chargedCheck that the fuel level is not in the "reserve" conditionsMove on to Step1. Charge not correct1. Recharge, if necessary, replace the battery

1CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Using the diagnostic equipment (Examiner or other instruments) connected, check the following information at the CAN network:

  • no control unit not activated;
  • that there are no faulty control units;
  • no control unit with faulty CAN line;
Move on to Step1. Presence of faults1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
2. Climate control system control unit errorMove on to Step
2CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Keeping the diagnostic equipment (Examiner or other instruments) connected to the diagnostic socket, check:

  • that there are no faults in the climate control system node
Move on to Step1. Presence of faults1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
2. Supplementary heater control unit faultMove on to Step
3CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Keeping the diagnostic equipment (Examiner or other instruments) connected to the diagnostic socket, check:

  • no faults in the supplementary heater control unit
Move on to StepPresence of faultsContinue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
4CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the fault is no longer present
